The identity of the Q5 has never been more distinct as with the current update. The expression of power, robustness and safety have been clearly magnified by the German automakers design team.
At the front Audi features new headlight design with the option of new generation digital OLED diodes, We also see a new bumper design and wider and more angular grill.
The rear of the Q5 sees new OLED rear lights which is a world first, we also see tail lights which can change in accordance to driving mode.
One of the more obvious changes in the cabin is that the rotary controlled MMI console is absent, you will now find a storage cubby in its place. The focal point within the cabin is the new freestanding MMI 10.1- inch touch display with acoustic feedback.
The infotainment system has also been upgraded with the new (MIB 3) platform having 10 times the computing power of the previous generation (MIB 2).
The new Q5 only offers two engines. The first being the familiar 2-litre turbo diesel which is good for 140kW and 400Nm. The other being 2-litre TFSI that produces 183kW and 370Nm.
The optimized SQ5 has a 3-litre V6 with 260kW and 500Nm. Going from 0-100k/h in 5.4 seconds and electronically limited to 250km/h.
